God the Father
There is only one true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being: the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, & Ruler of the universe. God is holy & perfect in all aspects. He reveals Himself as Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the eternal Son of God: fully God and fully man. In His incarnation, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. During his life on earth, Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, living his life free of sin. He was crucified on a cross to sufficiently pay the penalty for mankind's sin. He was raised from the dead and appeared to His disciples. He ascended into heaven and is now eternally exalted at the right hand of God. He will return in power to judge the world, redeem those who believe in Him and establish the fullness of His Kingdom over all creation!
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is fully God. He is personal and comes to dwell in believers at the moment of salvation to enable them to live in a manner pleasing to God. Christians are commanded to walk in obedience to God and be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables believers to fulfill their calling from God through His Fruit (Gal. 5:22) and His Gifts (Rom. 12, 1 Cor. 12, Eph. 4). We believe all of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are valid and encourage the exercise of the Gifts in a fitting and orderly way (1 Cor. 14:40). The most obvious evidence of abeliever being filled with the Holy Spirit is a life that exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22).
The Bible is God's revelation of Himself, given through men divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is fully trustworthy and inerrant; the authority by which all our conduct and beliefs should be tried. It is a “living” book, through which God continues to challenge, inspire and teach believers as we allow Him to speak through it!
Man was created in God's image and is the crowning work of His creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin. By his free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. By nature man is sinful. Only the grace of God can bring man back into a relationship with God. God has made this possible through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Grace & Salvation
Man is saved from his sin and brought into relationship with God solely by God’s grace. Due to our sinful nature, we can do nothing to earn God's favor or salvation, other than accept Jesus as Savior. By faith, man accepts the free gift of salvation from sin that God has made available through His Son, Jesus. Any person who receives Jesus as their Savior will never fall away from their state of grace and forgiveness and will live with Him forever!
The Christian Life
Christians, out of devotion and gratitude to Jesus, should seek to live Christ-like lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. A holy Christian life is not automatic for a believer, but comes through the daily decision to abide in Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit. We recognize a believer can face barriers from past or present struggles with sin that can become patterns in their lives which must be overcome. God offers freedom from not only sin’s penalty, but also of sin’s power in our daily lives and one day, will return to forever remove sin’s presence from every believer! As a church, we are committed to helping believers find victory!
The church is a local group of believers who come together for the purposes of worshiping God, growing spiritually, and discovering how to serve our world. Jesus calls all believers to be committed to a local body of believers and to walk in unity with that body.
Heaven and Hell
Heaven and hell are actual places. God's heaven is perfect and therefore cannot permit sin into heaven. Those who accept Jesus as their personal Savior are forgiven of their sin, allowing them to have eternal life with God in heaven when they die, or when Christ returns. For those who have not accepted Jesus as Savior, they will stand in judgment for their sin and will be condemned to eternal torment and separation from God in hell. In light of this, we are to be diligent in prayer and action to help people find Jesus.
